Asparagus and Chicken Salt Pastry Bundles


Indulge in the perfect umami blend of flavours with our latest puff pastry creation. Tender asparagus spears, gooey brie cheese, and a sprinkle of savoury chicken salt come together in a golden, buttery crust. Whether hosting a Mother's Day brunch or craving an easy and elegant appetizer, this recipe promises to impress.


1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil 

2 sheets of thawed puff pastry 

1 egg

1 bunch of asparagus 

½ a teaspoon of The Salted Rooster Chicken Salt

7 ounces of brie. 


  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Trim your asparagus stems, and then toss with your extra virgin olive oil and roughly half a teaspoon of The Salted Rooster Chicken Salt. 
  3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. 
  4. Cut your pastry sheets into an even eight squares. Place a thin strip of brie in the middle of each square and then add a few asparagus (if you can, go with less thick spears)
  5. Take the two horizontal sides of each square and fold them inwards, directly over the asparagus and brie. Place those squares onto your parchment paper and subsequent baking sheet.
  6. Whip your egg in a separate bowl and then brush that mixture over your square pastries. 
  7. Transfer your creations to the oven and check on them after 22 minutes or until they’re perfectly golden. 
  8. (Optional) drizzle with a little bit of honey for a nice little accompanying touch.
